Day 36 of documenting this social media journey and I have a lessons for you today that stretches far beyond social media.
I was working out today and realized this one thing that helped me to realize why I wasn't retaining all of the information I was learning from my podcasts or books on a day to day basis.
I realized that I could not multitask while I was trying to learn as one of the tasks.
When you are trying to learn something, you have to have you full attention devoted to it so that you can fully understand it.
Why You Shouldn't Multitask Your Learning
About halfway through the workout today I realized that I hadn't been able to take away any real value from the podcast and really didn't even know what they were talking about on the episode anymore.
After thinking about it for a minute, I was able to come to the conclusion that it was because I was trying to multitask work on my phone at the same tie, taking away my attention from the podcast to something that required more attention (my work).
I also realized that when I was doing a simple activity, such as driving or working out (when I wasn't working at the same time) I was able to remember those pieces of advice for much longer down the road.
When your mind finds something that requires more attention, while trying to listen to a podcast, the podcast turns to background noise and then the task at had becomes what you are thinking about.
This leaves you listening to a podcast, but not really taking away anything of value from it.
How to Make Time for Self Education
So, how exactly do you make time for self education, such as books or podcasts? Because they are super important parts of the day!
The first thing you can do is to start off by finding the ideal times for podcasts. Do you have time to listen on the way to and from work (ideally because you don't get distracted as easy by your phone while driving), or even at the gym (if you aren't working at the same time, and finally in the shower is another great spot.
These are ideal areas because they are when you are doing tasks that don't require as much brain power as thinking about lessons from a podcast do.
Find the times that are best for you and listen during those times.
I would really just NOT reccommed during work or while you are working in something important because you might not catch all of the information or it won't stick in your mind as easy.
My Favorite Ways to Learn
My favorite ways to learn are through books and through podcasts. Because books give me the long story to really get into and then then also it helps learn from those farther above us than others are.
My next favorite way to learn is PODCASTS of course, because it allows you similar knowledge as a book would have, interviewing successful entrepreneurs an their story, and you can take them anywhere.
If you are new to listening to podcasts, definitely check out this list below and you won't be disappointed:
Thanks again for the crazy support guys! Talk with you tomorrow about the engagement results from engaging on only large accounts tonight!

Day 35 of documenting what I am learning and working on on social media and I am making a ton of progress using the strategies I have been talking about in the past blog posts.
I have been implementing it for the past day and a half consistently and have grown around 200- 250 followers and have created a handful of new relationships and a client on social media!
This strategy actually works in this day and age of social media because it is doing what others aren't willing to do.
It is all about doing the things that don't scale, or you can't automate, and giving the customers, or followers, an unforgettable experience!
That is how you grow an audience that cares about you and feels they have a relationship with you and a community on your page!
What Is Helping Me Grow on Social Media
Going back to how social media was meant to be used and doing what others are not willing to do, that is what is working on social media!
In a day and age of everyone wanting to spend the least amount of time on something, and automating everything, it really goes a long way if you take the time to try and have a real conversation or really engage with your followers.
This is so rare now as everyone is just leaving generic comments on posts or not really trying to do anything in the community other than post content and then leave the app.
When you actually take the time to join the community it goes a long ways and that is what people really care about.
Who cares if you can automate a strategy that will get you 100,000 followers but none of them care about you or what you have to say? It does you no good.
How about we focus on being part of the community and cultivating relationships in order to get people to care about what we have to say.
Play the long term game and don't go for the sake right away, give to them and join the
How You Can Implement This Social Media Strategy
Wondering how you can start to implement this strategy into your social media page?
Well, I put together some ideas and some of the things that I use in order to start creating these relationships. Try these out and stay tuned for the next post where I will share a few more strategies for going back to how social media was meant to be used!
The first thing you can try out is super simple and goes a long way and that is a simple dm to your new followers!
Just thank them for following, ask if they have any questions or things you can help with the wish them a great rest of whatever day it is. Make sure you include their name and a personal message about their page as well in order to show them that it is not just an automated message!
The next strategy to try out over the next few days is a simple comment on the last 5 posts of
10-20 large accounts in your niche. This comment should be your thoughts, opinions, advice, etc and not just "nice post" or "love this."
The last two comments are pointless and give no value to anybody so they are not going to click on your account. Essentially they are just wasting your time posting those types of comments.
Thanks for more support as usual on the daily blog and I would love to hear how these strategies worked for you, drop a comment below if you try them out!

Day 34 of documenting this social media journey and this had to be one of the most productive days so far in terms of learning and crafting my expertise in making social media easier, more systematic and more effective for businesses.
I really hammered down the learning today as well as working on my tools for your social media pages, which should drop in the next week or so!
Can't wait to share some of what I learned today as well as how to implement these things into your ads and social media pages in order to start growing and gaining more attention!
So, scroll down and let us get started!
The MFCEO Project Podcast
The podcast I was listening to today that taught me the most was the MFCEO Project podcast with special guest Billy Gene!
Billy Gene is very successful in the social media advertising space as he is able to create ads that actually sell and when he came on my favorite podcast with Andy Frsiella I knew it was going to be good podcast, and right in my niche so even better!
They went over topics such as creating ads that actually sell, how to get customers to trust you, types of content that will set you apart and help you sell and much more!
If you have not yet checked out the MFCEO project, I am going to link the episode below so you can listen to that and I will bet that you get hooked after just this one episode.
If not, email me email@example.com or drop a comment below and I will find you a podcast in your niche!
Click the button below to listen to this episode FREE on iTunes or your preferred platform!
What I Learned
The main points I learned after listening to the interview with Billy Gene and Andy Frisella are listed below! The strategies they go over as well as how to implement what I learned is going to be in the next section so stay tuned!
How To Implement
Okay, now that you have seen the main points of this great podcast episode I thought I would share with you how to implement these based on strategies in the podcast and some personal ideas:
These are very actionable pieces of advice here so try some out and let me know how they work for you in the comments below, I would love to hear!
Don't be that guy that reads all these articles and makes himself feel like he is getting closer to his goals but never actually takes action. Use these ways to implement and start taking REAL ACTIONS.
The Focus for Tomorrow
Going back to the basics!!
Yup, I have been focused on this a lot lately but it is what is working for not only growing your account on social media but also crafting loyal followers.
You can't just use unfollow/ follow strategies or all of these automated strategies anymore because people are smarter on social media now and know when the engagement isn't meaningful or even real.
That means when you actually take the time to leave a meaningful comment, care about them and care about helping them it goes a lot farther because that is rare in the day and age of marketing automation.
Go back to the basics on social media and use it how it was meant to be used! It might just change the way you do business for the better!
Thanks for all of the support as always fam. Look forward to talking to you tomorrow and sharing how the engagement strategy works tonight as I am going to spend the majority of the night on Instagram and Twitter engaging!

Day 33 of documenting my journey on social media after a few days break for the fourth since I didn't have WiFi at the cabin, but you better bet I was working still on the phone with clients!
Anyways, I hope all of my US readers had a great Fourth of July week and are looking forward to going even harder this week after a few days on the lakes!
Drop a comment below what you did for the 4th!
Anyways, lets get to the good stuff..
Alright, so I have started the past few days with some work in bed before the gym just because I needed to get somethings done in the morning and they couldn't wait until afternoon based on deadlines and when people were available!
Good lesson on time management to learn here, that the more important things, whether a larger project or a time based deadline, should get done first during the day so that you are more focused and that you make sure these tasks get done as they are the ones that need to get done during the day!
The rest of the afternoon, after I got back from my summer job, was spend working on my new product/ service I am bringing to you guys to help you make social media easier, more systematic and more effective for you or your business!
I really love this product I am putting out as many people don't know what to write or how to post on social media and this is a tool to help you do all of that and more!
Can't wait to bring it to you guys!
Getting New Clients for Your Business
The thing that I learned the past few days in terms of getting more customers is that the more you focus on solving people's problems and helping people, rather than just trying to sell people, the more customers you are going to see come your way.
The more you focus on reaching out to help rather than just copy and pasting in a sales script into someone's DM's, the more customers you are actually going to get.
Trust me, I have been in the position where I copied and pasted things into DM's and that just didn't work and nobody wanted to read them.
Just imagine your own account, if you get a long message that you know is a sales attempt, you just are not going to read it.
Why do you think that other people want to read YOURS then? They don't...
Also, one final thing I learned by reading right before bed, that I just had to add, is prospecting the client.
Many people just into selling someone something or trying to get them to become a client when they really aren't in the market for that product or service. Sell to people that actually need the benefits the customer needs and it will make your life a whole hell of a lot easier!
What To Focus On
Here is the focus for the next few days.... taking control and wasting less time.
This means taking control of every aspect and making every thought and action have a reason behind them.
This will help me both get more done and start loving the process more because the reward isn't what we are chasing here, or at least I am not. It is more about the journey and the control in life you get when you own every second of it and nobody can tell you what to do.
Results come when you are focused on winning in other areas of life and gaining control of the actions you are taking on a daily basis.
One of the most powerful things you can have control of is what you do and what actions you take on a daily basis.
This allows you to have purpose behind everything that you do and understand why you are doing what you are doing each and everyday!
This way you aren't sitting around and wasting time, rather you are recognizing when you have extra time and figuring out what you can do to fill it with actions to get you closer to your goals.
Thanks for another day of support out here guys and look forward to talking with you guys tomorrow!

Day 32 of documenting this journey for anyone who is counting haha!
But today was a pretty basic day fell into an old habit of watching YouTube for a little too long but caught myself and quit after 30 minutes rather then 3 hours!
Other than that it was a solid day, starting more on the service and product I am going to be putting out to help make social media a little easier to you and your business and to help you create content more easily!
So, stay tuned for that!
Today I managed to listen to 2.5 hours of podcasts counting both the gym and the car ride to and from work.
Listening to podcasts in the car is really teaching me a lot because it is allowing me to consume more information than I normally would and I am tripling what I learn in a day, I love it!
Other than work, I got home and setup a few client calls for tomorrow and made a few sales for the product that I will be launching soon! (more info if you email me firstname.lastname@example.org)
I also got some website stuff done and started setting up a new home page and made some business connections!
Finally, I sold a few promotions and started posting on Twitter today which was one of my goals from yesterday!
Overall very productive day!
The Law of Attraction
I saw the law of attraction at work today, no doubt in my mind.
Whenever I am in a low place or not taking care of myself mentally or physically or not taking actions required to find any success, I don't get any results.
But, lately I have been very disciplined in life, in the gym and cutting out the distractions day by day and it is working super well!
I have been getting orders everyday consistently, more people are reaching out and things seem to be going in my favor when I get the momentum going through my day to day actions.
I would really make sure you are taking control of all areas of your life in order to get the results you are looking for, it will make a bigger difference than you think it will!
Thank you all for another day of support on the blog and I will see you in a day or two as I am going camping and might not be able to find any wifi to post for the next day. I will be back on Thursday for sure though!

Day 31 of me documenting this journey on social media and has been kind of a rough one not going to lie.
Got everything I needed to for the day done but had some struggles with motivation and I know some days are just harder than others so just gotta keep moving onto the next one.
It is all about the process and you gotta do the things that you don't want to do and do them first. This is how you build character and there is no better lesson that was shown to me today than this exact one!
Just have to keep up the consistency and keep on grinding... Anyone else struggle with this? Drop a comment below if you can relate!
Pretty typical day of work and then hitting the gym and coming home to work some more for the rest of the night! Plus, got to hang out on my friends boat fir fireworks at the end of the night which was pretty dope but now up til 3 am to make up for the lost time ad things I had to get done haha!
Also, did a good amount of multi tasking as I researched the best captions and captions that work well for engagement on each platform for an upcoming social media service that I am creating for people and businesses to help you all make social media a little easier and more effective!
What did you guys' day shape out to look like? Any big plans for the fourth of July if you are in the US? Would love to hear what you are up to (besides work for once haha) so drop a comment below if you feel so inclined to do so!
The Best Social Media Captions
So, I did a fair amount of research today on captions and what has bee working well, what ones get the most engagement and stuff like that on Facebook, Instagram an Twitter!
I'll share with you guys who read this a few tips that you can use for captions on each platform but you gotta wait for my service to drop for the actual templates haha!
Things I am Going To Focus on For Tomorrow
Tomorrow is all about both content and engagement so I will be posting more on all of my Instagram pages as well as engaging in the community through y main one @profitingtools where I am also documenting my journey much like this!
I set aside a few hours in my schedule to engage in the community because if I didn't and just trusted myself to do it, I didn't allow as much time as I would have liked to as that is what happened in previous days.
I am finally gonna start picking up more content on Twitter and LinkedIn as I have fell behind on those platforms lately! What is your favorite platform to post on and why?
As always, thanks for the support and talk with you tomorrow! If you learned something cool today, I would love to hear so drop a comment below and share with the community!
See ya tomorrow,

A quick update for day 30 of documenting my journey on social media! Uno month in and loving the process, changing my habits and learning so much abut myself and business it is crazy.
Insane how much your life can change when you dedicate yourself to something and refuse to live in your past like I was!
Had the day off from my labor job so really had all day after the gym this morning to get a decent amount of client work done and do more research for my services.
Didn't get to as much content posting as I would have liked to but got some up on Snapchat and Instagram on all of my pages as well as created the weeks content for one of my biggest clients which I was pumped I could get done in one day!
Other than a food break here and other and some mental breaks where I have been reading or watching YouTube videos to learn more, I have pretty much been at the computer all day, which I didn't mind at all.
About to read some more and then focus on engagement in the community for a few hours until I got to bed and rest for the night!
I'll get to the being authentic in business lesson next!
Authenticity in Business
Just caught a quick lesson in one of the YouTube videos I watched today by a filmmaker named Dan Mace where he talked about how authenticity is what people can actually relate to online.
A ton of people are out there posting highlights of their lives on social media in hopes that other people will like it. You see all these "relationship goals" videos and posts that he talks about where it looks like these people are living a perfect life and we are comparing our lives to this and feeling bad about our situation.
Instead, he talks about realizing that that is just highlights of someones life and an "artists take on someone's day" and how we shouldn't compare because each situation is unique.
The part where he jumps into authenticity is really where we can get some good business lessons. His whole goal is to become the most authentic filmmaker on YouTube. This is because when e shares his content authentically and not just filming the best part of his days, it allows us to connect and realize that he is just like us.
Much like we can do on social media, rather than coming from a position where we are above everyone, start creating captions and telling stories that show you are right there struggling in some aspect in life just like anyone else out there.
This will change your game on social media, I will bet money on it:)
Thanks again for the huge amount of support guys and I will catch you tomorrow with some more lessons, updates and hopefully some good news!

Day 29 of this documented journey of social media.
It is day 29 that I have documented on this journey that has been going on since I was in middle school hustling on eBay, and I am still learning so much about running a business as I have landed a new client today as well as I have ;earned a ton through a couple of podcasts at the gym today!
So, here are some social media and business hacks and lessons that I learned today...
Just a quick overview of the day before I jump into things! Is tarted the day out doing a little but of client work in the morning before heading to work where I set up graduation parties an events as a summer job to have some more income on the side.
The power of this job is that it has taught me things about machines (since it is also a rental company) and labor that I would not have learned otherwise. It pushes me outside my comfort zone daily and that is where I need to be in order to learn.
Also, this job has shown me what I don't want my life to end up like, trading hours of my life for money and not leverage my money to work for me. It has given me new motivation and for anyone looking for some motivation, I would highly recommend a labor intensive job.
You will be tired when you get home and go to work on your passions but it teaches you to push through many mental barriers!
After work, I went to the gym where I listened to the majority of my podcasts for the day (other than the drive to and from work) and learned a ton which I will go over!
After that I got home and create some posts for clients and went to work on the services I am creating help make social media easier, more efficient and more effective for YOU!
Ended the night hanging with friends for a while (key to have a balanced life at least a few days a week) and then reading and learning when I got back home!
Let's start off with some of these business lessons that I learned, there were two main lessons I learned and took away from the podcasts today and those were using curiosity in marketing and learning not to live in the past.
For using curiosity in your marketing, I learned that leaving out the thing you want people to ask about, like the name of your program or the podcasts you are listening to, you will spark their curiosity and they will want to know and go out of their way to ask!
This works really well for people in network marketing or affiliate marketing because if you talk about all the benefits and how much the product, program, service etc has helped you but don't give the name, people will be naturally curious and want to ask! Then they can't just go search the product online, not using your link.
The living in the past is not so much a business lesson but a life lessons that I have struggled with in the past. The podcast I was listening to was talking abut how people live in the past and bring up situations in their mind to make them feel a certain way because that is what is comfortable.
They feel like they need to keep that bad job or live in the same area so they can have the same bad emotions.
Real change doesn't come until you control your thoughts and understand why you are thinking the way you are and start to change your routine, living less in the past and move towards the future.
I struggled with this in the past with relationships and eventually moved past it but never knew how to put it into words until now!
Social Media Lessons
There were two major social media lessons as well, one being taken from the curiosity lesson from above, and one being totally new and based around content to be posting which is actually super helpful!
Taken from the curiosity lesson above, this can directly translate into the captions of your posts. If you are telling a story or sharing how something has helped you, don't mention exactly what it is in your caption or post and people will naturally ask about it.
Or, if you are trying to sell a product or service in a post/ ad, don't say exactly what it is, rather just talk about the benefits so people who actually want to learn more will click or engage on your profile and not just go on google and type it in!
The other lesson was based around how light or how heavy your content is. Heavy content is the more informational, conversational, controversial or deeper topics that you talk about on your account while light content is focused on easy questions, your interests or just simple posts!
The key here is to "sprinkle in" a light piece of content with every few heavy pieces just to keep it simple and fun and show another side of your personality that is't as serious every time!
Thank you so much for another day of support from you guys! I know this is going up int he morning but fell asleep reading last night so didn't get to post it!
Talk to you all later today/ tomorrow!

Day 29 of This Social Media Journey
Just another day on the grind loving the journey.
Crazy thing though, just updated my Instagram and they had a new feature called Instagram TV which I though was interesting so I played around with it for a while and really thought it could be powerful for marketing.
It allows you to see "shows" people put up which are just longer versions of their videos and watch them like TV shows.
This allows you to create a documentary and vlog type content or create a professional looking "show" and attract even more attention to your account.
The only concern I have at the moment is if they have enough attention on Instagram TV, are enough people using it to make it worth your while? Would love to see you drop a comment below if you are or are not using Instagram TV and why!
What I Focused on Today
The focus today was on prioritizing my time and doing the most important things first. So, starting when I got up, I did just that.
I moved onto client work right when I got up before going to the gym and got a good amount done and went to the gym.
Then I came back to start working on the services and now I am enjoying some free time for engaging on social media, writing this blog and learning through some books I am reading!
First few days doing this and I can already tell a huge difference in both the results I am getting and how productive I am being.
If you do these things first it makes sure you get them done and if you need to push anything off to tomorrow it can be a smaller task item and not something important.
And for anyone wondering, just copped a new book that I am starting tonight called Astrophysics for people in a hurry by Neil DeGrasse Tyson., I'll let ya know how it is!
What I Learned Today
Pretty much went over my main takeaways from today above in my focus for today as I learned the power of doing the important things first.
I made sure the important things got done earlier in the day and I didn't keep pushing them off like I have done in the past and the results show this works very well.
I ended up landing three new clients for helping market on social media actually and I'm very pumped about that opportunity to create a simpler, quicker and smarter solution to social media for them!
Just gonna throw this section in here because I can as the gym and health has been a huge part of my journey thing year, getting in the best mental and physical shape I can be in for the year.
Was leg day at the gym today and killed the workout with some new max out on squats and stuck with the diet today as I have been doing really well lately.
Two things I need to focus on more in this area is both my late night eating as it is not on the 10 hour time frame I eat in as well as the food I eat late night seems to be worse then during the day and that is an easy fix.
The second thing being trying to figure out how to get over this plateau I have in the gym and get some new personal bests. Any ideas on how to do this? Drop a comment below.
Going Into The Weekend
Going into the weekend I am going to have a heavy focus on content on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and producing as much high quality pieces as I can for each account.
This increase in content is going to increase the page views and content views on social media and help me be able to start split testing, growing and landing more sales!
Thanks again for sticking around for another day of my daily updates and I hope to see you back tomorrow as I go over how the increased content is helping me out!
Have a great night,

The Month of June...
Well, I am back! Interesting fricken month here in June and I kinda fell off the train of documenting as I started to get lost again and lost motivation.
I was out here looking for motivation from outside things and that was not helping at all as when I wasn't motivated I would sit around and watch YouTube and waste a ton of time, not being productive at all.
I would think about what I need to be doing but not actually do it (remember guys thinking is not getting you closer to your goals until you start taking actions on the thoughts).
So, there I was sitting around the 20-25 day mark on the month with not much social growth because I wasn't posting a ton and not much accomplishment this summer and just thinking "fuck."
I was still going to the gym and eating really good and reading when I could find the time, so I had those things going for me but other than that the month had not gone as planned.
I'm not sure about what it was about the one podcast or that one day but somewhere around the 20-25 day mark of June 2018, I was in the gym working out and listening to a podcast when this burst of energy just came through me and opened up my mind to what needed to be done.
I realized I needed to change, not just for a little bit but totally change my habits because those are what were driving me day in and day out and I had some shitty habits that were wasting time and not helping me get any results.
It wasn't motivation I was looking for or needing it was a change of habits that would propel me through the day more successfully.
It was also something about that one day and one Gary Vee Podcast I was listening to that made me realize the true value of time, how much I was wasting and how that was hurting me.
Sometimes you hear something a thousand times but then you hear it one more time and that is the time it really hits home and you fully understand what they are talking about, opening up your mind to a new world!
What I Have Been Focused on
Since then, the past few days have been devoted to first getting my time managed each day and not wasting any, deleting some apps I was wasting time on like Netflix, as well as starting to work on my business, getting more clients and shifting my focus to enjoying the process rather than just being pissed when something doesn't work the next day.
Since then, in just a few days I have landed three new clients that I am helping create, curate and manage their social media profiles as well as started working on services I am going to offer that make social media easier, more effective and quicker for businesses!
I also have started to document the journey again on Instagram and Twitter (@profitingtools for both) and I am going to start up these daily lessons, reports and what I am doing on social media each day to help you guys see what is and isn't working lately!
It is crazy what you can get done in a day when you have no distractions, and it feels way better than getting the immediate enjoyment from YouTube or Netflix but then feeling like shit after because you didn't get anything done!
The plan moving forward in the larger picture of things is going to be to focus on the journey, the long term and love the GAME more not just the rewards.
I have been focused on the game more in the past 3 days then ever before an I have just landed a few new clients each day, More than I have in a month of work before!
You actually start to get the best results when you don't focus on the results directly but the actions needed to take to get to those results ad then enjoy the journey to get there rather than going out and pushing, NOT GIVING, and getting nothing in return.
I am also starting to focus more on time management, if I have some down time do something productive rather than just watch YouTube and go down a rabbit hole of watching hours of videos.
I am redefining my habits one day at a time and a mindset I found to really help me get things done and see results (in business and life) was if I started to think I really don't want to do something then that should be the driving force to make me want to do it even more.
So, whenever I was thinking I don't want to do something I started doing it and it actually changed my life.
In terms of business, this month is going to be heavy in the realms of content creating, working with and growing my client base as well as getting my products out to help make social media just a little easier and more effective!
Thanks for the support as always fam and talk to you all tomorrow, or I guess tonight as it is 1am now haha
